Hi this in Neil, I hope you enjoyed reading my self introduction. Today, I would like to tell you about my hometown – Bray. I think Bray and Wakayama have a lot in common: seaside towns, friendly local people, nice beaches and delicious seafood.
Bray is a small town on the east coast of I
reland. About 33,000 people live in Bray so that makes it the 9th biggest town in Ireland. It is a seaside town which is connected to the capital city Dublin by bus (Dublin Bus) and train (DART). It takes about 45 minutes to travel from Bray to Dublin by train and you can enjoy some beautiful sea views along the way. Bray is a popular place for day trips from Dublin, people enjoy: playing golf, eating ice creams while walking along the seafront promenade, eating fish & chips, walking up a small mountain called Bray Head and walking along a coastal path called “The Cliff Walk” to the next town called Greystones.
There are also many shops on the main streets and very large supermarkets around the town too. The biggest event of the year in Bray is the Airshow which is held every summer. Airplanes and jets put on a spectacular show which is enjoyed by locals and tourists. About 200,000 people gather on Bray beach to watch the Airshow every year. If you are visiting Ireland then I recommend spending a day in Bray. My parents came to Wakayama recently and had a great time so I hope people in Wakayama will have a great time if they visit Bray.
